Book Dump #52-66
Jul. 24th, 2022 05:46 pmI didn't realize it had been so long since I updated! All my books are in storage, so I've been reading on my Kindle or on the app on my phone.
( Deathworld by Harry Harrison ) I really enjoyed this. Being classic sci-fi, I want sure what to expect. The plot was engaging and there were plenty of twists to keep me guessing.
( The Gentleman's Club by Emmanuelle de Maupassant ) This was... ok. I felt it took some weird turns and some things were never fully explained. Overall, it wasn't bad.
( Italian Sonata by Emmanuelle de Maupassant ) This wasn't even as good as the first one. I only continued because the first one ended in a bit of a cliff hanger and I had book 2 already.
( My Viking Vampire by Krystal Shannan ) I don't really remember much about this one other than being mildly disappointed. It felt a little all over the place, but maybe that was just me. There was a lot going on while I was trying to read it.
I read these three books as one book:
( Awaken by Humphrey Quinn )
( Shifting by Humphrey Quinn )
( Embrace by Humphrey Quinn ) This was a fun series. There are more books, but I don't know that I'll finish it. This is definitely geared toward a younger audience. I recommend it to anyone around 12 that has an interest in magic.
Then I found this series:
( Playing with Hellfire by Mila Young )
( Hell in a Handbasket by Mila Young )
( All Shot to Hell by Mila Young ) There are more books in this series, but I'm happy ending things with these three. I enjoyed them.
( Loving the Secret Billionaire by Adriana Anders ) This was kind of boring. I didn't hate it, but there was nothing really exciting about it.
( The Vampire Wants a Wife by Andie Long ) I love the MC in this, she's awkward and quirky and great. The story itself feels a bit clunky, but its enjoyable.
( Mafia Captive by Julia Sykes ) This promised a ménage that never happened and was also much more abusive than dominating. There were also points where the story just didn't make sense.
( Prowling Their Mate by Tamsin Baker ) This was ok, it felt really rushed in places and left a lot unexplained. There are more books, so that might explain some of the holes.
( Darkness Unknown by Selina Fenech )This was a good read. I enjoyed the characters and the story.
( Called by Cali Mann ) This was just all over the place and not really enjoyable. Also, not a reverse harem.
( The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton ) This was a great read! Lots of twists and turns and a slightly unreliable narrator.
